Our Journey
Our journey with Orion began as a simple science fair project, sparked by curiosity and a genuine desire to create something meaningful that could help others. To make our project as accurate as possible, we did a survey with visually impaired individuals in our community, their feedback was then analyzed to help us get a better understanding of their everyday problems. We started working on the cap, based on the survey.
In the beginning, it was just an idea, something we worked on with passion and hope, but when we didn’t move forward in the science fair as we had expected, it could have easily been the end of the road. Instead, we chose not to give up. We believed in Orion and in the impact it could have, so we kept improving, learning, and pushing forward despite the setback.
Determined to share our work, we turned to social media, where Orion began to gain recognition and reach a wider audience than we had imagined. People started noticing not just the idea, but the purpose behind it. This growing attention opened the door for one of the most meaningful parts of our journey: connecting with members of the visually impaired society of Albania. Meeting them and receiving their positive feedback was incredibly motivating, it showed us that Orion wasn’t just a project, but something that could truly make a difference in people’s lives.
As our story continued to spread, we were invited to appear on national TV, where we had the opportunity to share both our journey and our invention with a larger audience. Being able to tell our story publicly was a proud moment and a reminder of how far we had come from where we started.
Now, we are taking the next step by actively searching for funding and support to further develop Orion and make it accessible to everyone who could benefit from it. Our journey is still ongoing, but each step continues to strengthen our commitment to turning this idea into a solution that creates real impact.
